The flag is a vertical triband, orange-white-orange with a black octagonal form in the white stripe, composed of two interlocking black square outlines, and a yellow disk inside them.

The
isosceles-triangled-shaped flag of the Sipay Mîllî Kurdistan (SMK); the
military wing of the Kurdistan Freedom Party (PAK), which operates in
Iran/Iraq. It also referred to as the National Army of Kurdistan, which was
founded in May 1991. "Mîllî" translates as "national" in English. This flag was
seen near Erbil, Iraqi Kurdistan in February 2026.
